1. Purpose of this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how DIRECT BRANDED LTD, of 51 Bollington Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4ND, United Kingdom, uses cookies and similar technologies on directbranded.art. It should be read with the Privacy Policy. The mailbox for questions is general@directbranded.art. Telephone +44 7860 345678. The Policy is written for the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 as amended, the UK GDPR, and the Information Commissioner’s guidance on cookies and similar technologies. It describes a quiet informational website for a Leicester company that provides business support, facilities management, waste remediation, BPO and corporate logistics. It is not a laboratory protocol and it is not a marketing stack.
A cookie is a small file stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixel tags, and scripts that set identifiers. Some technologies are strictly necessary to transmit a communication or to provide a service you requested. Others require consent before they run. DIRECT BRANDED LTD prefers a light surface: the pages are static files, the recovery request posts to a confirmation page, and third-party resources are limited to typography and a map of the Oadby address.
2. Who sets cookies
DIRECT BRANDED LTD may set first-party cookies from the directbranded.art host if the hosting platform injects a session or security cookie. Third parties may set cookies if your browser requests Google Fonts or Google Maps. Those third parties are controllers of their own technology. We do not control how Google labels every cookie in a future release of Maps. You should read Google’s notices as well as this Policy.
3. Strictly necessary technology
Strictly necessary items include the transmission of the page you asked to see, the posting of the recovery form to thanks_you.html, and any load-balancer or TLS session the host needs to keep the request intact. These do not require PECR consent. They are not used to score your organisation or to build a marketing profile. If you block all cookies in your browser, the pages should still read; the form should still post. If a future host introduces a necessary cookie to keep a security token, we will name it here.
4. Google Fonts
The site loads Fraunces, Atkinson Hyperlegible and Sono from Google Fonts so that conservation-report headlines, body text and recovery codes remain readable. Your browser may request font files from Google’s domains. That request can include IP address, user agent, and the identity of the font files. Google may set cookies according to its own policies. This is a third-party resource. If you refuse third-party cookies, fonts may fall back to Palatino, Segoe UI or system monospace. The legal meaning of the pages does not change if fonts fall back.
5. Google Maps
The contact page and the homepage preview embed a Google Map centred on 51 Bollington Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4ND, United Kingdom. The embed is chosen so that the pin matches that address, not a generic Leicester city centre. Loading the iframe causes your browser to contact Google. Google may set cookies, read approximate location if you have granted that permission to Google independently, and record that the maps product was used. DIRECT BRANDED LTD does not receive a dashboard of who looked at the map. If you do not load third-party frames, you can still read the address as plain text and navigate with any map product you already trust.
6. Analytics, advertising and social pixels
DIRECT BRANDED LTD does not presently operate Google Analytics, Meta pixels, LinkedIn insight tags, TikTok pixels, or heat-mapping scripts on directbranded.art. We do not run A/B testing cookies. We do not retarget visitors who read the Privacy Policy. If that changes, this Cookie Policy will name the operator, the purpose, the duration, and the consent mechanism before the non-essential script runs. We will not hide a new pixel in a solvent window.
7. Preference and functional cookies
We do not presently set a cookie to remember a cookie banner choice because we are not running non-essential first-party cookies that would require such a banner. We do not set a language cookie; the site is in English. We do not set a dark-mode cookie. If we later add a consent record, it will store only the fact of consent or refusal, a timestamp, and a version of this Policy, for the period needed to demonstrate PECR compliance.
8. Durations
Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies last until their expiry or until you delete them. Third-party durations are set by those parties. We do not promise a particular Google cookie lifetime. First-party host cookies, if any, should be short-lived security or session items. You can delete cookies in your browser settings. Deletion does not delete the recovery request you already sent by POST or email.
9. How to refuse or withdraw
You can use browser controls to block third-party cookies, to delete existing cookies, and to send a Do Not Track signal. DNT is not consistently honoured across the industry; we do not run a tracker that would need to honour it. You can use Google’s own ad and map settings if you have a Google account. You can use a browser that does not load remote fonts. Refusal of optional technology will not be used as a reason to refuse a facilities or waste contract, because those contracts are not performed through cookies.
10. Legal bases
Strictly necessary technology is processed as required to provide the requested transmission or service and, where personal data is involved, as a legitimate interest in operating a secure site or as a step prior to contract when you send a recovery request. Non-essential cookies, if introduced, will rely on consent. Consent will be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous, and as easy to withdraw as to give. Silence, scrolling, or continuing to read a conservation note will not be treated as consent.
11. Personal data and cookies
Where a cookie identifier is personal data, the Privacy Policy applies: rights of access, erasure where the law allows, objection, and complaint to the ICO. A cookie ID alone, without more, may not allow us to identify you when you write to general@directbranded.art. We may need you to describe the browser and time of visit. We will not invent a profile we do not hold.
12. Children
The site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly set cookies to track children. If you believe a child has loaded the map or fonts in a way that concerns you, write to general@directbranded.art.
13. Changes to this Cookie Policy
If we add a measurement script, a chat widget, or a payment iframe, this Policy will be updated before those items go live. The current text lives at cookie-policy.html on directbranded.art. Material changes to non-essential technology will be accompanied by a fresh consent request where PECR requires one.
14. Server logs
The hosting environment may keep access logs containing IP addresses, requested paths such as services.html, user agents, and timestamps. Those logs are not cookies. They are processed for security, fault diagnosis and to defend abuse claims. Retention is typically short and set by the host. They are not used to infer which solvent test window you found most interesting.
15. Local storage and similar
The site’s own scripts do not write analytics keys to localStorage. They remember nothing after you leave, except what your browser does with form autofill, which is your browser’s feature, not ours. CSS custom properties for the desktop cursor-reactive reveal window exist only in memory while the hero is on screen. They are not stored as cookies.
16. Third-party terms
Google Fonts and Google Maps are governed by Google’s terms and privacy notices. DIRECT BRANDED LTD is not Google’s agent for those notices. If Google changes a cookie name, the purpose described here still holds: fonts for readability, maps for the Oadby address. We will not use those products as a covert advertising channel.
17. International transfers via cookies
Third-party requests may transfer technical data to the United States or other countries. Transfer safeguards, where they are our responsibility, are described in the Privacy Policy. For Google’s own transfers, Google is the controller of that technology.
18. Contact
Questions about cookies go to general@directbranded.art or to DIRECT BRANDED LTD, 51 Bollington Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4ND, United Kingdom. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would rather open a small test window on your concern first.
19. Summary table in prose
First-party strictly necessary: possible host session or security item; purpose transmission and security; duration session or short; PECR consent not required. First-party analytics: none. First-party advertising: none. Third-party fonts: Google Fonts; purpose display of Fraunces, Atkinson Hyperlegible and Sono; duration per Google; consent model treated as a third-party resource you may block. Third-party maps: Google Maps embed for 51 Bollington Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4ND; purpose showing that address; duration per Google; you may refuse the iframe. Social plugins: none. Chat: none. Payment cookies: none, because this site does not take card payments.
This Cookie Policy applies to the public website only. A client intranet, a waste-carrier portal, or a facilities ticketing tool used under a separate contract may set its own cookies. Those tools will carry their own notices. DIRECT BRANDED LTD will not pretend that this Policy covers a third-party ticketing product we did not build.
20. Relationship with recovery requests
Submitting the form is a communication you requested. It is not a cookie event. The confirmation page does not drop a conversion pixel. If you telephone +44 7860 345678 instead, no website cookie is involved. If you post a letter to 51 Bollington Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4ND, United Kingdom, no website cookie is involved. Operational files created after a contract is formed are not cookies; they are records described in the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions.
21. Accurate description duty
We have described the site as it is built for the 2026 publication: static pages, a POST form, fonts, a map, conservation-table scripts for navigation, validation, counters and a desktop reveal highlight. Those scripts do not phone home. If a future developer adds a tag manager, this Policy must be rewritten before launch. A failure to update this Policy would be a process error, not a licence to track.
22. Browser settings in ordinary language
In common desktop browsers you can open settings, search for cookies, and choose to block third-party cookies or to delete cookies on exit. Mobile browsers have equivalent controls, sometimes under tracking or privacy. After you block third-party cookies, reload contact.html if you wish to see whether the map still embeds. The postal address remains readable regardless. Fonts may change. The legal meaning of a recovery request does not depend on Fraunces loading.
Private browsing reduces persistent cookies but does not make you invisible to the host’s TLS connection. A VPN changes the IP the host sees; it does not change the words you type in the form. We do not attempt to deanonymise VPN users. We do attempt to stop automated abuse of the form.
23. Why the site is built this way
DIRECT BRANDED LTD chose a static multi-page site so that a conservation-table interface would not require a tracking stack. Scripts on the pages operate the burger menu, scroll lock, FAQ accordion, counters, form validation, and a desktop-only cursor highlight on the hero. Those scripts do not call advertising domains. They do not store a fingerprint. If a future designer adds a heatmap, this Policy must name it before it ships.
24. Consent records we do not yet keep
Because we are not running non-essential first-party cookies, we do not presently store a consent proof. If that changes, we will store a token, a time, the Policy version, and the categories accepted. We will keep that record long enough to show PECR compliance, typically not less than the life of the cookie plus a short evidential tail. You will be able to withdraw through the same banner or by writing to general@directbranded.art.
25. Third-party iframes besides maps
The site does not embed video platforms, chat widgets, or payment iframes. If a legal page later embeds an ICO guidance iframe, that would be another third party and would be listed here first. Do not assume an iframe is ours because it sits inside a conservation-white card.
26. Email tracking
Transactional email from general@directbranded.art may pass through an email host. Some hosts add link wrapping. We do not presently insert tracking pixels into legal replies. If a marketing message is ever sent, PECR will apply and this Cookie Policy will mention whether the message includes a pixel.
27. Do not track and global privacy control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we still have no advertising profile to honour, because we do not build one on this site. We will treat GPC as a refusal of non-essential cookies if we later add a banner that reads such signals. Until then, blocking third-party cookies in the browser is the practical control.
28. Changes to Maps or Fonts providers
If we self-host fonts, Google Fonts cookies will disappear from this site. If we replace the map with a static image of the Oadby street, Google Maps cookies will disappear from this site. Either change will be described here. The address 51 Bollington Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4ND, United Kingdom will remain the same.
Until such a change, loading contact.html with images and frames enabled is likely to contact Google. Loading the page with a browser extension that blocks those requests is your choice and will not be treated as a breach of any Client contract. Cookies are not a solvent. They do not lift operational varnish. They are a small file. This Policy exists so that they are not a hidden file.
29. Measurement we do not perform
We do not measure scroll depth. We do not rank which test window on the homepage you hovered. We do not sell a remarketing audience of people who read the waste schedule. We do not use session replay. We do not use a consent-management platform at present because we are not offering a menu of optional cookies. If a host dashboard shows aggregate hits, that dashboard is for keeping the site up, not for profiling a Leicester facilities manager who wanted a telephone number. Questions: general@directbranded.art. Address: 51 Bollington Road, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 4ND.
This Cookie Policy is issued for the 2026 publication of directbranded.art and should be read with the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, and the Terms and Conditions. DIRECT BRANDED LTD remains the operator. A change of host does not by itself authorise a new advertising cookie. Any new advertising cookie would need a new sentence here before it ran.
